CITY OF COLUMBUS
In an effort to attract more transitional young professionals, the city of Columbus needed a campaign that not only highlights the best of what the city has to offer but also connects emotionally with the 25-35 year old target market.
This initiative was a trendsetter, launching in the early stages of the hashtag movement. #LIFEINCBUS was inspired directly by the talented, energetic, smart young professionals of Columbus. This campaign speaks to this creative crowd in a way that’s not so much a promotion as it is a call to arms. It’s an open invitation to explore the potential for living a life that's extraordinary in a city that’s growing in exciting ways.
This award-winning campaign kicked off in 2 large metro cities, Washington D.C. and Chicago. The #LIFEINCBUS website functions as a portal of aggregated content from local media outlets, instagram hashtags, twitter accounts and other curated content. Additional campaign elements included wallscape billboards, transit-based advertising in metro stations, elevator videos in high rise office buildings, online rich-media ads, and ongoing social media efforts.
